Leadership

The X FactorWhat sets you apart in the world out there? Do you have that certain something that draws people to you magnetically that simply cannot be explained? Have you got “The X Factor”?  You might have noticed that there are people who “have the touch”. It’s like no matter what they say, do, or go after, they win. Do you think they were born that way? Is it an innate quality, or something that they had to become, or maybe a little bit of both? Yes it’s that’s mystical, undeniable thing called..

“THE X FACTOR”

It has been quite a blast watching Simon Cowell’s brand new  blockbuster talent show “The X Factor”. For its 3rd week running it’s making a big splash on television with audiences . The format is similar to the smash hit “American Idol”, where Simon and judge Paula Abdul spun off from, but there’s something you might notice immediately that’s totally unique about this show!

The X Factor” has “the x factor“!

There’s a completely fresh an unique format, in which Simon has brilliantly made major changes that have made the show a hit right off the bat!

  • A $5,000,000 Prize
  • A Live Audience for all the Auditions
  • Mentoring By The Judges Themselves
  • Widening of the Age Limits, and Group Acts so more people are eligible

Amazing Talent!!

The live audience has made for a certain dynamic that is not present in the auditions on American Idol, which speaks to how important that buzz and emotional thrill of a crowd, or the absence of it can have an affect on the audition. Audiences know what they want to see! As I was watching this show, I noticed a thread going through many of the acts that came out on the stage. Some of the acts that did not take their singing seriously were absolutely terrible! You could see that it took on a different meaning to them, or in some cases they had themselves talked into believing they were actually good, when they had no pitch, when it was clear they had no business before such a huge audience. There were a few exceptions in which their singing was borderline, and the judges were divided. In these cases it was a cases you could tell the artist needed to go “back to the drawing board” and get to work on themselves some more, and possibly re-audition next year. This speaks to developing ourselves. We are always becoming MORE. When we stop growing we die.

Brennan Hunt Wow!!

One the other hand, the men and women that clearly had The X Factor, were obvious stars to varying degrees from the first few bars that came out of their mouths….THE CROWD ROARED!!  Some of these people were jaw droppers, that were so astounding in their talent that you wondered where they’d been and why they were not famous. These acts were PASSIONATE beyond words! You could tell that their music was so deeply in their hearts, and they could not go to their graves without expressing it publicly. They took their craft seriously, and would almost die for a chance to perform. Is this how you are about YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE? Is it so important to you that you MUST accomplish it, and you’ll do almost anything to make it happen? People sense that and want to be around it!!

So what IS The X Factor? Is is talent? Is it Heart? Is it guts? It could be knowledge, beauty, leadership ability, charisma, and even qualities that don’t have a name.

You just know that YOU have IT. You just know when someone else has IT. You also know when they DON’T have IT..(unfortunately)

The 10 Qualities of The X Factor!

IT is a white hot burning desire achieve your goals, hopes and dreams!!

IT is a talent, and drive to be the BEST AND to bring out the best in others

IT is unwavering belief in WHO I AM

IT is being determined, persistent and never quit no matter what to achieve my dreams & goals

IT is that magnetism that draws other high quality,  interesting, spirit driven, loving and valuable people to me.

IT is serving and giving my heart away while  not expecting anything in return.

IT is my passion to learn, to become, always open to seeking truth

IT is an undeniable presence and confidence

IT is integrity, honesty and compassion

IT is LOVE

Allow me to explain the last one on the list. Everything we do is really based on the two basic human emotional drives, to avoid pain, or to gain pleasure. Pain is derived from what? fear.

Fear is the emotion the we all spend a great deal of time trying to avoid. Basically when you have

The X Factor..YOU ARE FEAR LESS !!

So what does that make YOU?? LOVE

And what is One Emotion Everyone Ultimately Seeks?

Who invented these terms “old school and new school” ? Marketing has always been the same since the beginning of time. The only thing that ever changes is the medium of how the information is delivered. I think one of the problems is that we as a society tend to want everything yesterday and we don’t want to “pay the price” so along comes the idea of a “new way of marketing” and we all think we are going to get rich and have to work less…… NOT True !

If we can apply the speed of building a relationship using the “new school” tools and then transition them to a real time connectivity, person to person again using the new tools, (skype, facebook, twitter etc.) then you have the best of both worlds. If on the other hand you try and make the internet do all the work for you and think you don’t have to build, and develop relationships you are going to be disappointed

Laura and I are amongst the first to be lucky enough to be part of “both of these worlds” and it can be a blessing to us or a curse depending on how we use it. Lets enjoy the lessons of success in this new millennium. We are excited to part of this important gathering of like minded leaders.

Ego Economics / Principles / Capacity

What is Your E Score?

This is a glimpse into just one of the leadership strategies taught by Tyler Norton, former VP Beneficial Life, insurance and financial services. Tyler was a top corporate executive at the age of 29.  Tyler along with direction from his father Verdis Norton, CEO of ASEA developed a strategic business management model now called “ Strategic Link”.Verdis served as Sr. Executive VP of Strategic Planning for Kraft Foods Inc, and other Fortune 100 companies over his 30 plus year career. Strategic Link is an exclusive training program available to the associates of ASEA at no charge , but is rather part of the overall event strategy where associates earn the privelege to attend through significant rank advancement (See  MLM Events Now, Then & Always) Strategic Link is given in some of the greatest Fortune 500 corporations who have paid thousands for their executives to complete.

Tyler is a natural teacher and facilitator; a master of models with a unique talent to synthesize critical issues and opportunities into a set of strategic initiatives linked to specific execution guidelines. He has taught the StrategicLink process to nonprofits such as the Boy Scouts of America, National Women’s Chamber of Commerce and to numerous small to mid size companies around the country.

Ego and Economics

What are the motivating elements driving a person in a relationship or transaction?People can tell when you are motivated by dollars instead of their best interest. We meet people in business who are ego driven and many times people are repelled by them, and we can sense that “they would sell their mother” to get where they are going”.  Ask yourself what their motives are and watch for them.

Principles

“Principles are concentrated truths packaged for application to a wide variety of circumstances”

To be a successful leader, “You have to have a commitment to principles that is greater than your commitment to ego economics” . I came up with a few examples of the ways business lends us many opportunities to be principle based. Some of these core principles might be:

  • To be honest in all of your dealings.
  • To treat your customers and distributors the way you wish to be treated at all times
  • To provide the very best service you can.
  • To hold the best interest of your customer (and not yourself or the dollar) as the number one objective
  • To to keep communication open so that people feel like they contact you anytime for help, and always return your business calls promptly.
  • To make each individual transaction as important as the last, no matter the return. (making people feel important goes a long way)
  • To honor your business as a thriving enterprise, that deserves accurate record keeping, fiscal responsibility, eye kept on the bottom line, and growth goals clear.

These are just a few. What are some of yours?? We all know principle based people who’s “P” score is far higher than their “E” score.  I invite you to comment on this, and tell about someone you might know like this or a situation that illustrates.

Capacity

Source Credibility and Character: “Do I have a Core Belief and Abiding Conviction about what I am about to share with you is More About YOU than it is about me” People know when you are being REAL. When you know who you are and you have a strong core conviction about your principles, values, your product, your company and most especially THE PERSON YOU ARE TALKING TO, you will win every time.

There’s something really exciting coming this week. The excitement has been building and soon we’ll know ALL the details about Tribe Domination. In the meantime, I decided to republish my thoughts on The TSA! I wrote this back in July and our business has grown even more since then. Read on..

I’ve got a secret! It’s actually not going to be one very much longer though. It’s called The Tribe Syndication Association. TSA The Best Kept Secret On The Internet. If you have been looking for a way to:

  • Drive more traffic to your blog & get more comments
  • Learn more than you could have ever imagined about everything under the sun,
  • Gain more exposure & syndication
  • Have more opportunities to step up as a leader & build more social media relationships…Read on.

There is a rumble going on around the web. The sound is getting louder and louder. Can you hear it?? It’s the sound of TRIBES.  It’s the SYNERGY of groups helping each other and lifting each other up for the greater good! Marketers are getting themselves out of the way, and promoting each other, on their OWN Social Sites!

Can you believe it?? There’s no competitive mlm politics going on, no “I am going to lose, and you are going to win if I promote you” stuff. The whole really is greater than the sum of its parts!! [click to continue…]
